Moosend markets itself as an email marketing platform for businesses of all sizes. Along with email marketing, the company also offers support with creating landing pages and subscription pages, making it a one-stop-shop to grow and nurture your audience through lead generation and email. If you’re a smaller business trying to choose an email marketing platform, I’d suggest adding Moosend to your list of possibilities.

Jessie J may tell us that “It’s not about the money, money, money,” but we all know that a lot of the time it IS about the money. Moosend has both free and paid options, and the free options aren’t too shabby. They definitely want to show you that it’s worth the money for a paid account. The free account lets you send unlimited emails to up to 1,000 subscribers and access a lot of their features. If you’ve got a really small email list, that feature is pretty golden!

Listen, I am HERE for all things email design. I live and breathe email design. And I’ll admit that creating professional-looking marketing emails is not for the faint of heart. A lot of the time it requires you to be at least somewhat tech-savvy, and it comes with a learning curve at first. Moosend offers a drag-and-drop editor so you can have the professional look without having to pay the professional fee. (It’s like I’m trying to talk myself out of a job. 🤦🏻‍♀️) You can even include interactive images like GIFs if that’s your style!

When it comes to your emails, Moosend wants to make it easy to make it personal. They tell you “First-name personalization is so 1999.” There’s an option for A/B testing to discern which form of your email has the best open and conversion rates. You can also use marketing automation tools to respond to abandoned carts, offer repeat purchase reminders, and connect with your audience in a variety of situations. There are even settings to help you set up really unique automation recipes, like weather-based emails.

Even with the pretty user-friendly system, you’re going to run into issues. Sometimes it’s you and sometimes it’s the platform itself being glitchy. The good thing is that their customer service is pretty responsive and offers a live chat that can help you almost immediately with any problems you have.

On the flip side of the great features, one big downside to Moosend is that they haven’t yet released a mobile app. You’re pretty restricted to a computer when you want to work on your emails through the platform. Make sure you pack your laptop so you’re ready when your next big idea strikes!

It’ll literally cost you nothing to give Moosend a test, so it doesn’t hurt to sign up for a free account and see if you like it! I always recommend testing a new platform or service before committing- it’s way better for you to try it and see if it’s right for your business before you dive in.
